Fuerza Hermana for Centro Cultural Recoleta

Fuerza Hermana is a campaign created for International Women's Day 2020 for one of the largest cultural centers in Buenos Aires, Centro Cultural Recoleta. The program brought a wonderful feminist agenda, with exhibitions, lectures and concerts. The visuals I created for the campaign unfolded in several pieces, including the design of the poster, which was delivered free to the public with the campaign program, t-shirts, pins, many signs and a giant mural of 200 SQM. The campaign's concept reflects the aesthetics of feminist posters from the 70's, in which the presence of strong brushstrokes and silk screen were allies in communication. The lettering accompanies this idea, with big, gestural letters. The women's expressions in the illustrations are serious and strong, denoting the pain of the struggle, at the same time that the bodies support and embrace each other. I was interested in reflecting the diversity of the Latin American woman, a rich identity of Indigenous and African characteristics mixed with occidental traces. This was the printed poster that was distributed for free with the program in the back, they printed thousands of it! You can't really see it in the photos, but the red is a neon color that looks just amazing in person. I love to see the poster in women's houses all over the world <3

The amazing Rojo Vivo Murales giving life to my mural – they did an amazing job! I went to Bs As for the inauguration and I got to sleep inside my mural, ha. This building serves as an artist residence and my room was on the top right window, with the pink hair ;)
