My dear friend and great artist Diego Miguel and I painted this mural in Brooklyn in 2014. Here's the story and the reflection we propose: What is true to your eyes? Which portion of reality is perceived through them? How do we give meaning to everything that surrounds us and how to do it in the living organism that is a big city? This project is our reflection about the way we see things and how it must be constantly adapting and changing. Movement. Manipulation. Randomness. The artists Cyla Costa & Diego Miguel used the space of an art studio (Cuatro H) in Bushwick to make a graphic interpretation of this idea, joining each view on the subject matter. The wall between two windows was conceptually used by photographer Ricardo Perini as filtering eyes to the perception of our surroundings as well, in an intriguing capturing process that resulted in this short film.
