I was invited by Henry Holt & Co. to participate in the process of creating the cover of the third book of the Wolf Hall trilogy of the New York Times Bestselling Author Hilary Mantel. The art director's words: "final 3 book covers will be type / lettering-only and we want them to feel elegant, dramatic and BIG". We developed two style lines, one using black letter style lettering that would accompany the entire trilogy, so I developed new covers for the first two books, and one that was only for the last book, with a different look and feel. In the end, they decided to go with another direction, but I really liked the process and the outcome of these. Art Direction: Christopher Sergio
